Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026
This is a first draft, not a substitute for legal advice. It was assembled from our own product and data practices and adapted from the public terms of comparable subscription-content and API products. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it in a dispute — especially since STEALSHOT now processes real payments and personal data.
These Terms govern your use of STEALSHOT (the "Service"): the frame and video library, the chat assistant, the account and boards features, and the MCP/API server. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
1. The account
You need an account (Google sign-in or an email code) to save frames, chat, or use an API key. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your session and API keys to yourself — accounts and API keys are for one person, not shared across a team or resold to another user.
2. Plans and billing
Free accounts get browsing, search, a capped daily chat allowance, and favorites/boards. Pro ($10/mo, billed monthly or annually) adds unlimited full-video footage access (subject to fair use — see §3), a higher chat allowance, a premium chat model option, and API/MCP key access.
- Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically each period until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing portal linked on your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro access through the end of the period you already paid for, rather than losing it immediately.
- Prices, plan contents, and usage limits may change; we'll give notice before a change takes effect on an active subscription.
3. What you can't do
The library — frames, video footage, and anything returned by the chat assistant or the MCP/API server — is licensed to you for personal or internal reference use (research, storyboarding, critique, learning). You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the Service or its content, whether directly or by building a paid product around it.
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the library using automated tools, bots, or scripts, including against the public pages, outside of the search/chat/MCP interfaces provided.
- Redistribute, rehost, or republish frames or footage — on another site, in a dataset, or through any channel that substitutes for using STEALSHOT directly.
- Circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or plan gates — including using another account's API key, or working around the Pro-only video source gate.
- Use library content to train or fine-tune a machine-learning or generative-AI model.
- Build a product that repackages MCP/API access as a standalone content repository competing with STEALSHOT.
- Share an account or API key across more people than the plan allows.
Violating any of these is grounds for suspension or termination without refund, in addition to whatever other remedies are available to us.
See also our Acceptable Use Policy for the general (non-content-specific) rules — spam, security testing, and so on.
4. Copyright and takedown notices
The video footage and frames in the library are drawn from publicly posted content; we believe our use is consistent with fair use / fair dealing for research and reference purposes, but we take takedown requests seriously. If you believe something in the library infringes your rights, email legal@stealshot.com with: the material in question (a URL or video id), your contact details, and a statement of the basis for the claim. We'll review and respond, and will remove or restrict content where appropriate.
5. No warranty, limited liability
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the library is complete, accurate, or continuously available, and the chat assistant can be wrong — treat its answers as a starting point, not a citation. To the extent the law allows, STEALSHOT isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including the restrictions in §3. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
